Hello all, I am not only new to owning a pontoon boat but I am also new to boating. This looked like a good way to get some knowledge from some experienced boaters. I live in Ponca City, Oklahoma and only 15 minutes away from Kaw Lake. Not a bad lake but a really muddy/sandy lake that has maybe 2 inches of visability at best!! Had my toon for about a month and a half now and just love it. Found out last weekend that pulling my toon with a 20-30 MPH headwind going down the high way is a bit much for my gasoline powered pickup. If I continue to pull to other lakes in the state I think I will have to upgrade to a Diesel!!!

Welcome to the forums Cobra427cable. Got a great bunch of people here and we're glad to have you join us. Be sure to post some pics of your boat(s) in the 'Show Off Your Pontoon' section (or rebuild depending if you have before/after pics), as we'd love to see them. Also tell us your story in How did you come to join the forums? (just click on the red link and tell us all about it ). You probably did like a lot of us have. Looking for pontoon accessories and either found it through www.PontoonStuff.com ebay site or web store. Jim (administrator) and Andrea (pontoongirl) Myers (our hosts) have excellent staff members to help them help you find whatever it is you're looking for your boat and has excellent shipping and customer service. Have fun and happy boating. Be sure to edit your signature line to include details of your boat and motor so folks won't have to ask for it if questions arise later. Also visit our other sections like Where are you? so others will know what part of the country you're from. If you need any help editing your uploading your photo's, check out our primer here How To Upload Your Pontoon Boats Image, If you need help resizing them check out Software that helps you with pics & such. Be sure to review the posting rules and policies of the forum. If you have any issues with seeing photo's this link will explain it Issue regarding seeing photo’s on site. Please read all the posting rules. Some forums have additional specific rules for that category.

Those Sun Tracker's are really nice. And you're right, toons can be a bear to pull even without a headwind. Please post some pics of your new toon. Again, welcome to the site..

Hi everyone!  I'm new to the forum, have lurked a little since getting our 24' sunchaser 2 yrs ago...we just traded it & picked up a 30' Suntracker last week!
We live in Mexican Hat Utah!  90 miles from Lake Powell...did not want a houseboat as we want to travel some...& like bringing it home with us!
We got home with it last Saturday night & left Sunday morning for a 1 nighter!  Had to see what all we're going to need...
I had read on here that ST's are considered the wally world boats...I didn't tell my husband that until after we bought it, though...I think it'll fit our lifestyle fine!

I enjoy all the stories, the re-builds...etc...lots of info.

Hi, Iam from McMinnville, Tennessee. It is in middle Tennessee. I have a 2005 24' Lowes pontoon boat we spend most of our time on Timsford Lake in Winchester Tn. I live 8 miles from Center hill Lake which is a great lake but not a nice as Tims.

I've only been to Center Hill once and I liked it, but haven't explored it enough yet.

Some forums have additional specific rules for that category.  On your redecking, don't forget that you'll need the wood and carpet dry for the glue to dry out which can take a few hours to many hours depending on your tempatures, its best if its at least 65 for about 8hrs, otherwise you'll need to heat an enclosure (garage, tent, etc).
