Newcomers, please - please make absolutely sure your email address is correct - if you don't, you will not get a verification email and coming back to correct the email address won't help you as you only get the one (unless the email address IS correct, then you can have it resend many times). You can only start over if its not correct. Everything else can be totally wrong, but not the email address - so double check it - twice.   Also email received for verification and can't be verified as coming from a verified email provider will also won't be allowed for forum use (ie those who create their own mailing system using hosted providers such as godaddy.com and others). Also any email deemed as being submitted from ie: anonymous remailers will also not be acceptable and you account will be blocked and/or deleted.

Those of you that use Comcast - DON'T use their email systems. You will never get verified. They are having huge issues with their email systems. Doesn't do you much good to send email if Comcast won't let the mail come through back to you. I will have no choice but to delete accounts that try to validate using Comcast email systems. Use another email address for validation.

We are now currently not allowing new members to use work email addresses (shouldn't be using work email for personal use anyways ). So if you are trying to use .us, .edu or .gov, use what I've recommended above as those are now blocked from being used.

Also please, please if you're using zone alarm or some other form of email protection, you must allow *.pontoonstuff.com to filter through.  If you are having any email issues at all, please include your userid in all correspondence to  darrklim2@pontoonstuff.com or pontoonstuff@gmail.com as its quickest way to get any forum related issue resolved. Remember that google (and other free email sites) are good for forum related emails and in my opinion, google has the best spam filtering of the free email systems.

Comcast, roadrunner, centurytel and earthlink email addresses will no longer be acceptable for verification purposes and is now blocked. Use Google mail, Yahoo, or Hotmail for forum mail. Sorry, but these ISP's fail 99.5% to accept mail from either our PontoonStuff.com or our Google mail accounts or users block all further mail from us through auto spam filtering.

I've been noticing for some time now that Road Runner and SBC Global ISP email accounts have numerous fail messages being generated which prevents email verification emails being sent from us to you - the prospective member. That may prevent you from joining the forums via the automatic verification system. Here's 3 ways you can solve that problem which most of you using these ISP's probably didn't even realize you had a problem, however my inbox gets a big load of failure and delay messages daily from these ISP's.

1. I recommend a google, hotmail or yahoo account (google first choice). I like google email because I'm not dependent on my ISP for mail service (Comcast email which I haven't used in over 8 years), extremely good at squashing spam whereas Hotmail and Yahoo are very bad at it unless you have filters setup very well. But, for forum use, it fits the ticket and you don't worry about giving someone your home email account, plus if you ever change service, you'll still get email through the others regardless - NEVER download email to your computer unless you know who its from FIRST, and then only if you have QUALITY antivirus software - not the cheapie freebie stuff.

2. Harp on your ISP to fix your email system, but verify that your ISP is having a problem, not all RR or SBC Global systems have problems.

3. If  you don't get the email verifier message, or for some reason it doesn't work. Just send an email to Darren (darrklim2@pontoonstuff(dot) com) (just remove the spaces and put a . between PontoonStuff and com) tell me what your forums userid you created is. I may then reply and have you reply back to verify its truly you and your email system is working fine (or verify its having problems).

Nothing else to it, just read the posting rules, and join us. Learn a lot or even teach us something - regardless we love pics and we love families as this is the best family oriented pontoon forum by far (just my opinion of course).

We (forum administrators and moderators) reserve the right to edit, modify or delete a post at any time without notice if we feel its in the best interest of PontoonStuff.com or its members.
