I've seen some trailers with these plastic strips rather than outdoor carpet. It looks like they would last alot longer. Anybody know where you can get these?

Are they not plastic strips on carpeted bunks? Are they like this? Fentress Trailer Glide Sticks at Bass Pro

Yes, They make your pontoons slide in and out a little easier. I have heard stories where guys are having their boats slide out before thay are ready to launch or forgetting to tie it down when they pull up from the ramp and the boat slides off.

I might have to check them out, it just seems that it will be costly. On a 20' thats 80 feet to purchase.

Yes, costly, but no rot and boat should have less problem getting off/on. The only thing I worry about then, is the durability and strength and whether it'll hold up to UV effects over long term and making sure it doesn't develop stress cracks or worse. I would love to find somone who's used this on a pontoon application and give us their personal opinion (void of any sales pitches by vendors)

I have a tritoon so the cost is 3 times the bunk lenght.  Not cheap.  When I made my first order from surfix inc I goofed and only ordered enough for one side of the trailer.  When you order 7 or more strips theres a 10% discount.  On my second order I got a 15% discount.  Made 2 launches and the toon slipped off great.  Loaded the toon so easy.  Sorry I didnt get any pics.  Let me know if anyone wants any other info.
