I am sooooo glas to hear that it's easier to put down the new floor than to rip the old one out!

I got the fenders/bumpers in day before yesterday (the aluminum that goes around the new floor and carpet). Shined them up really nicely too... I took a day off from working on it yesterday and am planning to get the fence in tonite. I'll post pics of the progress...

I got the rails and fences installed yesterday and today (mother's day - before the wife woke up) installed the new bimini top. It is coming along...next furniture and the console - perhaps this week sometime.

Nice top!!! Slow-you were so right, much easier to put down the new stuff than than to demo the old floor out.  Thanks for your encouragement there.

What is that bench in the back lengthwise? Is that a 50in?

Yes. it is a 50in. i still need to buy the front couches... Ugh! And my boat fund is depleted. I bought a new cover, since the new furniture is going in...and that was alot more expensive than I planned.

I just may have to use the pontoon without the front couches for a season. My front area is only 40inches, so the armrest with the smallest couch/seat is what is needed. I'll have to get creative.

B.Y.O.L.C. ---- Bring Your Own Lawn Chair....lol.  That's what I am going to do for the fishing area on the bow this season---maybe next year fishing seats will be in the budget.

The seats you chose look great---how long till you are on the water??

Hey S&E, Your rebuild is looking great.  Nice carpet...I found the same thing with the knees, and ankles.  After a day of installing seats and then doing some work on the stereo instal I found that the outside of both ankles was rubbed raw, , I was having so much fun working that I didn't even notice till the end of the day.

I was wondering, I am seeing a lot of folks now with a picture with their forum name, how do you do that?

Mike

Hey mman3187,

I got alot of heat from my wife about getting carpet burns... To add your pic, go up to the top of the page and click settings. You can edit your profile and add an image of your choice...

Jenn,

I am shooting for Memorial Day weekend to get the pontoon out on the water. I am trying to get the majority of the work done this week. I am running a marathon this weekend, so this weekend is not an option to work on the boat. I did finally get the graphics (they look awesome). And I will probably get those on once I complete the furniture install. I am working on it in spurts (after work) for a couple of hours daily. I still want to polish and wax the rails one time before I put on the graphics...

Alright, I got everything in except the console. I still need to wire it (perhaps tomorrow, if time permits). Here are a couple of pics...My son was helping me install the seats and I got him taking a well deserved break.

So I take it you're gonna use the flip back seat for the helm seat?

It's looking so good! I really like your reasoning about being able to turn around and face your passengers, plus it's good storage.

Slow-n-Easy

We are doing the same thing with the flip back/forth seat. We don't have enough room to put a bench behind our captian stand so we figured the flip seat would work for helm seat and then flip back for fishing! We just started putting our seats together today. So far, I really like the way the flip seat looks.

Nice job on your rebuild, it's looking great!

It looks great, we're doing the same thing with the flip flop seat also.  We need the extra storage and I'm toying with the idea of relocating the livewell to the flip flop.

I thought about relocating the livewell too, but that would require some modifications to the size of the livewell (mine is huge and made from aluminum). I'd have to find someone to cut it and reweld it together... I just want to get this thing on the water

Man, I have a ton of war wounds from putting this pontoon together. Blisters, cuts, carpet burns...I just counted all of my wounds and thought I'd share. (A total of 11). A little blood shed for a new toon (new to me) is definitely worth it!

Never had the carpet burn, course I did share my crushed finger tip last year with everybody (last Sept), another 2-3 weeks and I think it'll be totally healed . I've stopped counting the cuts and nicks as I get at least one new one every time I work on the boat. What I hate worst though, is re-opening them as that hurts worse  (especially on the knuckles and fingers)

That would be an interesting poll---how many and what kind off pontoon injuries have you sustained....lol.

Slow---you inpired me to replace the captains bucket seat I originally ordered with the flip back chair.  Thanks for the pics you have posted.

Hey Slow_n_easy, great looking toon. I got 1988 model looks just like yours. I have a question about the trailer. I am having a heck of a time getting a spare for my trailer I use the 20.5 X 8 x 10   5 bolt pattern and Tracker does't make that particular wheel anymore. Obviously I want the spare to be the same as the ones on the trailer. Have you had any experience with this problem?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

I use the same size on my trailer.  Do a google search for trailer parts.  Many suppliers for that size.

By the way great looking boat s and e.  I hope to have mine back from the mechanic saturday.
