Big Dallas, ebay is your friend and as 2ltime explained there are tons of after market suppliers, the tires are very expensive though... I want to say I spent $80 per tire a few years ago... big chunk of change for an itty-bitty tire.

BTW, thanks 2ltime for the compliment. I finally got my console installed last night. Very tight quarters in the helm...I'll post some pics soon.

I was also looking for examples of installed throttle lever on the actual console and not off on the fence/rail. I ended up cutting up the side and installing the throttle lever on the right side of the console, I think it looks great!

Dallas, I recently replaced both tires and the spare in that size, for the long pull from Louisiana over to Texas.  I found some 10 ply tires at a local tire shop, at $55 each.  I was very pleased with the way they held up, and pleased to see they were 10 ply, not 6 or 8 like the tires I was replacing.  They made the 500 mile journey wil no problem (unlike the one that blew two days before on a local trip).  I'm sorry that I don't recall the brand name, I can just tell you that it was one that I never heard of (not a major brand name, obviously).

I just bought (3) 20.5X8X10 10 ply tires with an 'E' rating from a dealer on eBay & 1 new galvanized wheel. He mounted one tire  & shipped everything in one box for a total $233.00 including shipping by UPS. I ordered them on Tuesday & they arrived today. The brand name of the tires is DEESTONE. Each tire was $62.44. He told to make sure I ran 90 psi air pressure in them.  They are biased ply tires. No one within 100 miles of where I live had them & I was told they would have to be special ordered. The dealer lives just south of Maryville, TN

I got the steering and throttle connected this evening...I took a long weekend off from working on the toon. But I am ready to get this thing done and in the water...

Wow, that just looks awesome.  I did the same thing on my console that you did- utilized that little lip to place the stereo (and also my switch panel).  You're getting close to your launch date!

Thanks everyone. I should have the boat wired this evening and I'll give it a test starting...if all goes well, I'll put my tags on the boat and drop her in the lake this weekend....

Does anyone have any ideas on where/how to mount speakers? I really don't want to cut into the plastic bases (the seats appear to not be able to open up with the speakers below them)... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I bought 4 marine speakers (6.5')

Short of building some plywood boxes or something similar I can't think of any other options than the seats, console or armrests. I mounted mine in the ceiling but I have a hardtop. You could get the rectangular enclosed speakers and mount them on the fence rail or something. I used them on the outside of my boat and mounted them under the narrow 'soffit' I made with the new top. I think Lindas Lounge did something different with hers if you want to check their post out. She and some others have souped up stereos (I'm thinkin ScottB too)and could probably give you some options.

Well, let me try this again.  Here is where I mounted my speakers.  They sound great in the arm rests.

Here is a pic or two.

Hope that helps.  What I am stuck on right now is where to mount the Sub.

That is awesome! Thanks for the info. I was wondering how one would do that with the skirt over the hole...but that looks great! I think I'll give that a shot... Thanks mman3187! You also don't mess with the structural integrity of the plastic bases...

mman3187, I tried what you did...Unfortunately, my screw (bolt) pattern isn't quite as large as your speakers. My sony speakers won't grab into the plastic...so, I am going with boxes. I'll update you all on my progress. I did get the toon started yesterday after hooking up all of my electronics. I went and got my registration tags earlier today...so, we are on target/schedule for getting this thing in the water this weekend... WOOHOO!!! I won't have all of my graphics on, but at least I'll get her wet...

I was just cleaning up the toon getting ready for tomorrow (our maiden voyage on the new and improved toon) and found a couple of tears on 2 seats. Does anyone know how to go about returning defective seats to PontoonStuff?

Yep, just call and talk to them, no problems. They'll take care of it. If you still got the boxes they came in, that'll help out, if you don't, use the boxes you get the replacement seats in, make sure they know that.

slow-n-easy,    You may ask PS to send you call tags for return freight, as there freight cost is cheaper than most people can find. We changed our floor plan once we got our furniture and they sent tags for us to return what we needed to return. Toon looks GREAT keep up the good work!!!! Kartracer28

So have you added any pin striping/decals to your walls?
I think that's the route I'm going to go as well...

Does that self etching primer say it's for aluminum on
it? I just didn't see any at our local autozone...

Also, did you sand the primer/paint between coats (if
you did more than one). I've just never done much
painting...or wet sanding for that matter

Thanks, looks awesome!

Yes, I have added some vinyl decals to the toon. I am having more created as we speak - I expect to have it fully completed with the vinyl graphics in the next week or 2... I currently only have the name of the boat on the side panels and of course the registration numbers. Yes, self etching primer is for bare metal, including aluminum. You can buy self etching primer at your local Wal-Smart (spelled incorrectly on purpose). You have to sand down as much of the old paint as possible...chances are you are going to get down to bare metal - hence the self etching primer. No you don't have to sand between coats. Although, you do want to sand before you paint. And you do want to wet sand to ensure good adhesion of the paint...

Thanks Linda's Lounge... My vinyl graphics are ready and should be installed tonite. I'll post pics as soon as the vinyl is on. I did install the new couches in the toon, makes a huge difference...The boat is almost done! Just the vinyl graphics are left...
