I have decided to name my new project 'WHAT'S NEXT ?????' 1994 Monitou 24 Ft W/ 50 Yamaha 4 stroke. I went from Flying, Offshore Fishing, Motorcycle Trail Riding, Camping, Pecan Tree Farming, Auto Racing (Many years with NASCAR teams), now back to Boating. Who knows 'WHAT'S NEXT????'

Ronney, I built my transom from two pieces of left over deck plywood, 3/4 inch. I cut the peices slightly oversized and then glued them together with 3M's 5200 sealant. I spread the glue completely over both sides so there were no voids and clamped it tightly for 24 hours. I then cut it to the right size, slightly smaller than the mount, and fibreglassed it all the way around to seal it. A little sanding and painting and it looked like new and so far, seems to be holding up great.

geez, I hope you ain't as bad as me (I'm 3 yrs older than you - almost 4). 1 heart attack, 9 heart surgeries, 1 stroke and recent surgery on the right hand and elbow tells the story on me , but hey, I'm still around stinking up the place    Go easy on sanding the toons (where you want to polish), it'll make polishing a lot easier unless you're using mighty fine grit.

Boy, you really went with the weight didn't ya with .080. Overall boat looks pretty good on the outside. Plan your seating carefully if you're wanting to change the layout now or measure what you've got to make sure what you get from PontoonStuff matches up closely or you might have to improvise with right/left lean seats. Yep, them seats have seen better days a long time ago  and the good thing is, you'll be saving some weight as those appear to be wood based and probably waterlogged. You didn't really want that hard top anyways did ya . Looks like the best excuse I've heard for a 10ft top or even the double top, course it looks like you've got an 18 or 20ft playpen.

Rick,

When I go to the site and enter my info I get this error

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/boatgraphic/default.asp, line 652

It also says something about creating a ClickChatSold account. I know this has nothing to do with Pontoon Stuff but I sure would like to see what the 'Dive Shack' logo would look like.

That site just does that, just ignore the errors and create your logo/name plate in whatever styles that suits you.

I think it will work out, bought this boat on ebay site unseen other than pics and the guys word. Could have been better BUT could have been much worse. Logs looked great until I polished them now all the little dings show up.

Not much more weight, could not find 5052 in .063 plus the .080 comes in 12 ft length. With 12 footer should make installation a little easier

Oh but at a distance, that shine won't show the little dings, it'll look pretty and a big ole gator will admire themselves and won't even think about eating ya if you fall overboard

Well I am at Pontoon Stuff,,, 6 inches of snow for this cajun boy is like being in Disneyland,,, did not know picking out everything needed for my boat and getting it to all workout would take so much time. Just a little advise on ordering furniture,,, get on a lagre surface, driveway etc. and draw out your playpen area with chalk, draw the size of your furniture in the place you want it to see if you have the area needed.I changed the original design and had to work out the sizes of things.

Ronney, I thought I had mine layed out like I wanted, which I did in the design but not exactly as to the sizes of the furniture, I was so glad to have my boat there. Can't wait to see how you're laying yours out. Hey and don't forget to post pics of your trip in the off topic area (and did you get the motor home fixed this time?)

Yes they did fixed the motor home whole new top,new carpets, new seats, ready for another few years of racing.. My new design would have worked if I only had a 50 foot boat LOL Charles one of the other dealers near by has a playpen lay out of different sizes which maded it easy to workout. PS does have the best quality we have found.Going to place the order this morning, we did find that talking with other dealers is VERY helpful. The have done so many boats they have great ideas as to what works and what does not,why use this material and why not. Forgot the the camera,,,, Happy Easter Everyone
