It happens when the flywheel is not torqued properly. Otherwise they should never break.

Rick you are right, the nut on the flywheel was as loose as the nut sitting behind the helm

Well I must say I DO ENJOY MY TOON!!!!!!! As this is the first toon I have owned and also the first toon I have ever rode in,,, it is great. Went on a short 4 hour tour of the bayous today with my son and his friends, all of us could not believe the great ride we had. I can not say what the under skin does as far as the ride, but the boat was very quit and seemed to be very tight when in waves. We ran 3900 RPM, 16 MPH, we figured about 4 gals per hour ... Does this seem right are did we miss figure.

All now I see you've updated the signature, which explains the previous 28mph  . As for figuring gph, without knowing weights and all, seems like a reasonable figure to me as I know wide open you can suck up 9 or more gals an hour with a 90.

Had an older 115 rebuilt, 4GPH at 16 MPH. I also put Alum grading in place of vinyl, in rear, to let all fumes escape.
