Ok I confess...I really didn't measure mine and probably was using at least 1/3 acid to a gallon of water. Also it was in the middle of the summer and my yard is sandy so I am sure the grass sucked it up. When I say it killed it I mean it turned it brown and it came back in a few weeks. If you look at this link to my rebuild

http://www.pontoonstuff.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2765&a mp;PN=2&TPN=1

the pics on 8/02/08 showed the grass when I unloaded the barge and the ones on 8/24/08 show how it had started to grow back when I was loading it. I also confess I am an EPA certified technician although I haven't done a/c work since the late 90's. I don't remember any complaints when I cleaned coils with the stuff but they were usually on a concrete pad and I used tons of water to flush debris out. Mine may have had alot to do with the dry conditions in my yard at the time.

Also the link to the treatment plant dive doesn't work

Great dive sites. Lot better than the treatment plant I was thinking of lol. If I ever get up that way I will look yall up. Looks like the Hot Hole would be the place to dive right now!

You're putting that light in the center of the front of your toon? Would figured you'd go for this instead (its what I've got) (for the corners)

LED Boat Light Kit. Nav Lights-Plug In Stern Light

i cant SC law says my red and green Nav lights have to be mounted at the 'foremost part of the bow' and since I have a center pointed bow instead of square that forces me to use the single pod light.

On another note I was not happy with all the bolts that could snag and tear dive suits, equipment, and my flesh on the new dive benches I made for the boat.  So I went to the Local High school career center welding shop and let them make the aluminum welds needed to build the bench as their class project / Final.  here is pictures of their work.  I was quite impressed with their work.

There are two of these front shot

You have probably alread left but pics of the boat being used as a dive boat would be awesome. I assume yall do a giant stride entry. What type of entrance ladder do you have. I need to buy one soon as we are heading for Lake Norfolk in late May to dive off mine.

Very nice bench. I like the fold down tank holders too. I would sure like to start diving again. It's been a long time since I got to blow any bubbles. The boat is looking great.

At the moment I have the standard boat ladder that came with it and don't like it very much but will post pics soon.  I have intentions to buy a flip up dock ladder to install on the boat with at least five if not six steps so it goes deep in the water to ease getting out.

sorry for no updates I discovered after my last post that the carburator need a rebuild since it wouldn't start for me several weeks ago.  That task has been done and we are back using it.  I will try to get some pics of the boat being used for actual divers soon.  The weather is good right now for diving and have been going about three times a week recently so the boat rebuild has been slow.

Im planning on taking ours on the maiden dive voyage this weekend too. Hope to post pics. I wound up temporarily with the standard ladder. I am going to have everyone take their tanks/bc's off before they climb in to see if that helps. I'd rather dive than work on my boat too. Dont blame you there.

sorry to the group I was off the forum for awhile.  If you still need the plans for the benches send me a pm to and I can forward pics and plans for the diving benches.  Dispite rare South Carolina Snow today I know spring is around the corner and its time to get my boat in order for the coming season.  So new pics are on their way, as I work towards the pontoon boat renovation from recreational pontoon to a dedicated diving platform.

Day 1 of the spring removation getting it ready for summer diving.  Didn't use table that was there last year so I removed it for more walking room.  The bimini top didn't survive winter  so I removed it to get it replaced this season. Glad to see the carpet and floor are still solid.

Now to the real problem.  My boat in in I/O and that last center seat is the engine compartment.  I have searched several sites and can't find a replacement modern plastic base seat. that will work with this arrangement.  any suggestions would be helpfull

How far above the floor line does the motor sit?? I see that the whole seat swivels forward for tight access to the motor. appears the seat base hides the motor compartment. Seats replaced will save you a lot of weight back there. How wide is it back there? Can a set that measures 89 inches across fit there? Like this set http://www.pontoonstuff.com/pontoon-boat/551-pontoon-furnitu re-classic-seats-6.asp. You'd have to modify the center bench some.

Nice looking set up! you need to find a ladder like Robbie and I have on our boat...makes it much easier to get on the boat, lol!

Why do you want to change the helm? just curious...I am building a new helm for my boat as we speak...just to replace all the wood on the boat. I am also replacing the wood on my top deck with aluminum sheeting to lighten the load plus the wood was getting bad.

to get it to match the new interior I am going to put on it,  I do plan on getting a ladder that is on the shop's main boat.  It is much easier to use.  Just haven't got that far in the rebuild yet

Looking good!  How about a straight bench seat across the stern without backs?  You could build it so it lifted off and improve your access to the engine.

really need a padded type of seat design.  the engine noise would be way to loud with out some soft material to muffle it.
