Since there was a cancellation of a get together (that was close to me), we've been working on something else. How about this location http://dnr.state.il.us/LANDS/LANDMGT/parks/r4/eldon.htm in Carlyle, IL. Indicate your choice of the date ranges when you reply.

So anyone from MO, KY, IN, IL, middle TN, etc want to come to join us in Carlyle, IL make yourself known. Date range currently is May or June 2010.

Ok, we couldn't swing the original date of Sept, so now we're trying for May or June 2010 and we decided that the Super 8 in Carlyle, IL had the best prices, wireless internet (for those of us addicted like me) and its not but a couple miles from the state park/lake. All the admins, moderators and some folks from PontoonStuff will be there if you feel like joining us. So with May or June, if you'd like to come, indicate your date preferences - we may decide to extend this one during the week (rates will be cheaper too) from say Tues to Sun, stay the entire time or part of the time, its up to you.

Super 8 motel will be the central point for this gathering as they have the best rates that's near the state park. We'll try and firm up some dates by September so planning in earnest can begin.

For those who might be interested, there are 3 Corps of Engineer campgrounds at that lake that are really nice. Additionally, there is a campground in Hazlett State Park. The town of Carlyle is small and does not offer much in the way of restraunts. At least that was the way 10 or so years ago when I was last there. Used to camp there a lot. White Bass fishing could be really good at the time you are planing on going.

Given the way the weather has been this year I would shoot for middle to latter part of June. They may still have ice on the lake in May.

We've got a more definite time line now, it'll be August 2010, no date firmed up yet. This will allow those with kids to get in and have some fun with us, so it'll probably be the 1st or 2nd week of August (I'm just guessing since I don't know when kids go back to school).

Bumping this thread as well, this one you'll have almost a year to prep for if you're going to come. There are plans that we might get a vendor tour of Wise Boat Seats factory (think that's right), Goldome14 is working on that when the time comes.
