I'm finally getting around to posting pics I took on July 4th. Fished my sister in law's pond and usually cats, bass and bream will beat doors down for little crappie jigs but not this time, went up in size to regular spinner baits and still no go so went with something I don't normally use in this pond. BIG crankbaits made for deep water, still no go, so went with BIG spinnerbaits and finally caught a bass that was only twice the size of that spinner bait but since the water was exceptionally dark, it gave me an idea even though the sun was high (10:30-noon) and I broke out the big buzz bait - SUCCESS, caught 8 bass and here's a pic of the biggest one. Most were 1-2 lbs but this one tipped the scales at 5.5lbs and it was a load of fun landing him.

Oh and he was released back into the pond so next time I catch him he'll be closer to 6lbs I hope.
