All but 1 side of the gate panels are painted. I'll get the last side painted tonight. This weekend is going to be the maiden voyage good lord willing and the creek don't rise. I have a 4 day weekend and want to take the family camping. Plus my oldest was heart broke when I went fishing without her this past weekend. So, with or with out the sun deck finished and mounted the toon is going to the lake.

Things to do:
finish side gates
place reg #'s on side of toon
new tires for trailer
mount sun deck & furniture

The sun decks are not going to be done by this weekend. So, last night I temp screwed the furniture down. That way Benny could take the toon in to town today to get some new tires on the trailer. Now to get home tonight and mount the panels to the gates and the gates to the toon. The 4 day weekend is coming fast and I'm so close.

furniture mounted (check)
new tires (check)

Still to do:
side gates
reg #'s

I see that you have a bench going across the deck from your corner unit like mine.  I have an issue with the back rest not being very sturdy.  Have you reinforced the back in any way?

KenC, my fence rail runs along the back of my L seat. So, what give there is in the back it rest against the fence. Your furniture looks to be a manufacture then mine. I'm not sure if there is a different design in the back attachment. Mine seems sturdy even when not against the rail.

Ended up at the house for lunch today. Couldn't stop myself from working on the toon. In my defense it will most likely be raining by the time I get off work. I attached the painted panels to the gates last night. At lunch I mounted the gates to the fence. If I must say darn it looks good. We still have to name the toon and get some decals on the all white panels. The blank panels jump out at you. She's not done ,but she is lake worthy. Also thought of a few other things before we hit the water.

Pics to follow

hey boyscout, lake worthy is a big step.  you got the 'need to' list done, now the 'want to' list can begin.  and that can take forever.

The rain has put an end to any chance of camping this weekend. But it is a 4 day weekend for me so there is hope for a maiden voyage. Here's the pics of the new gates.

Here I am on day 3 of a 4 day weekend and still no maiden voyage. Yesterdays weather was far to windy w/ a chance of rain to take the family out on an untested toon. Today is cloudy and windy so I think I'll just take the bass boat fishing.

Yesterday was not a total loss. Benny and I set out to finish the toon. He brought the sun decks over so the waiting was over. There was a small mix up on the sun deck. 8 months after the tear down he forgot just how the deck lined up. This threw off my mother-in-laws fine sewing job of striping. *New Boat Rule* anyone who criticizes sun deck upholstery gets thrown in the lake.

With the sun deck in we mounted all the furniture. We even managed to install the 2 front fishing seats.

Things To Do:
finish privacy room
repair sink top & recover base
wire in outlets for night fishing lights

Wish List:
trolling motor

Ohhh now I see about the striping job, but all things considering, it does line up with the bench seats.

In the past couple weeks the toon has been to the lake for testing and
fun. I may have answered the issue with the sun deck striping. when
performing the first lake/motor test there was a mishap with the sun
deck. I didn't trust the latches for the deck so, I strapped it down
for transport. After a frustrating trip of the motor not performing
correctly I forgot to tighten the strap for the drive home. The piece
of deck that covers the privacy room removed itself from the toon @ 30
mph. Now it needs to be reupholstered. I'm planning on turning the stripe to match the other end piece. It should be more pleasing to the eye.

On a happier note the trip was not a total waste. The motor would only
idle. So, we putted over to a sweet spot I know and my 6yr old caught
her first fish. It was with in the first 10 min of me throwing out the
anchor. several crappie were caught and everyone had a great time.

Now to the motor. My first thought was the pump and filter. it was
acting like she was starving for fuel. She would stall under load at
any rpms above 900. So the pump was rebuilt and the filter changed.
This did not resolve our issue. After lots of consolation we turned to
the carb jets. The rebuild kit we used did not come with new jets, and
the old one did not want to come out. Trying not to damage them we
cleaned them in place. Now they were coming out intact or destroyed and
being replaced. They came out with little trouble this time, and after
good ultrasonic cleaning everything was reassembled. Back to the Lake and Oh how great it felt to go full throttle and trim it out.

This past weekend we took her down to Beaver Lake, AR for night fishing.
Man that is the way to roll. 24 ft of comfort to kick back on while you
wait for the fish to start biting.

Sunset

Sunrise

That's a 100qrt cooler w/ 37 fish in it
