Well I was hoping to get one more run it, but it isn't going to happen now with more heavy rains coming and turning too cold for now. I covered our toon last night and it won't get uncovered until at least March 2010 (depending on wind/weather), by then hopefully I'll have the enclosure put up. So list the State you're in, if you've got it parked, covered, wrapped, etc or if you're just a hard core pontooner (you Florida types don't count) , we know you folks fish year round if the wind allows it.

middle TN, covered 10/21/08, parked until March 2010 at least. Now the jon boat, that's a different story.

Going to the lake (in central Missouri) this weekend to winterize and put the boat up for the year. I went to the lake many times this year, but never really got much boating time in. Working for the most part. Maybe next year I'll get more time on the water. Man I hate winter...

I'm with Rick, I hate winter too! But, I'm planning on a few more cruises since I have it on the lift now. I'm going to go down there tomorrow night to check on it. We have some work to do on the house but hopefully we'll get a ride in Saturday night or Sunday or, if we're really lucky, both!

well i hate to admit it but it is parked and waiting on spring.  I have the mooring cover on it but wondering if it will hold up to the weather this winter.  I have also thought about adding a 20x30 tarp over it as well.

middle tn

You guys who hate winter need to move to a place such as MN that has things to do when it gets cold and snowing. Such as snowmobiling. Then at least there is something to do during that time. I enjoy both seasons. It's the in between seasons that I dislike.

No such thing as 'cover it up and park it' here...we use the boat all year long.  We spent the night in it last New Year's and will probably do so again this year.  As long as the dock has power...we have heat...and we're not afraid to use it

Actually right now is a good time to overnight on the boat...not too warm during the day and cool enough at night so we don't get too hot inside the enclosure.

Our toon has been winterized for a couple weeks now. Way too cold to even think about boating now. Snow will be here soon, up north where we vacation has already had a few inches of that 'white crap'!

Well, we went down to the lake yesterday and did the dirty deed of putting the toon away for the year. I did manage to get an hours ride in before I started working on it mostly to make sure I had good stabilized fuel through the system. So sad................

Speaking of not putting it away, we spent the night on the boat last night.  I think it got down to 40...but we were warm thanks to the blanket and 2 comforters on the bed

Our view while grilling burgers:

Another shot a little bit later...

Went up to Coopers Creek today, kicked back and relaxed some more.  I'm just useless when the weather's good   (And yes, it's as 'fishy' as it looks...the fishfinder goes crazy in here.)

Come on down.  We boat year 'round here. It's great if you can stand the summers!

Well here in Louisiana we can pretty much toon year round especially in mine with the enclosed cabin. That being said I have covered mine to keep the leaves out of it as hunting season has opened and unless its a really bad hunting year probably won't fish until Feburary. I do plan on adding/extending my center toon and putting a wash station on it while shes out of the water. I already did the VSR switch before I covered her. Put stabil in the fuel and found this neat little hose under the cowling that you can hook a water hose to and run the engine out of the water. What a dream compared to the old 'muffs'. Winterizing a boat is new to me as all my other boats I have used year round so hope I got it all done.

It was 81 here when I left the house at 6:20 am this morning.  Only thing we'll be packing up is the bait and ice chest for another run on Gibbons Friday nite.

It was in the 80's here too today but with all the rain and storms I may be launching mine in the back yard this weekend.

Still boating here in Central Virginia on Lake Anna.  Planning to pull it out, park it and wrap it the weekend of Nov. 21.  It was a great first year for me owing a pontoon.  Here is a shot of us out 2 weeks ago before the leaves really started to turn.
