Hey just came across this forum and wanted to say hi. My wife and I just purchased our pontoon last month and due to weather conditions did not even try it. It has since been winterized. Here are a few pics:

Now that's what I call dedication - buying a toon and have to wait to try it out. Must have been a sweat deal to buy now and can't use it yet. Tell us more about this deal Tony, must be a story behind it

We had been looking for a pontoon for sometime. I was actually looking at one a tad smaller with a 60 HP Big Foot Mercury. It actually was a fishing model but my wife convinced me that I would whine in a few years for something bigger . That is how we ended up with the one in the picture. I was hoping to get it out a few times before winter but then the weather turned crazy out here. We actually purchased the unit in Ontario . 7 hr drive one way but worth it. The dealer says they tested it and it actually hit 32 MPH. I have problems believing that but if it did bonus right.

So are you a previous pontoon owner, or had used them before? Weather has been crazy in my neck of the woods since March. Seems we couldn't get more than 4 days in a row without rain which we'd get for 3 or more days. Too bad we couldn't see it before it got covered up. Do you have a trolling motor on it since you seem to indicate by your nym you love fishing (as I do)

First time pontoon owner. The biggest boat I have ever owned is a 16 ft lund with a 25 HP Merc. Now I have this beauty which I know I will enjoy. Only worry is launching for the first time and putting back on the trailer. Any tips would be great. I do not have a trolling motor. Mistake on my part but I can always make some modifications later on. I put my money into a good locator instead. Bought a HDS5 Lowrance. Man this thing comes with a manual so bloody big that I can use as an anchor. We bought a pontoon for the sake of relaxing and still getting some fishing in. I will take pics in the spring of the inside. It's a beauty. Two front captain chairs which sealed the deal. Awesome stereo alpng with tons of storage. Built in 33 gallon fuel tank ' ouch for the fuel especially out here in Manitoba. 130.00 bucks later but hey that is what happens when you buy toys'. Now just need to buy a porti potty for the wife and maybe a small barbecue.

Thanks Mike. My truck is a 1994 F150 4x4 with a 302. I have 350000 kms on her. Been a very good truck for me.

Thanks everyone for the great comments towards our toon.

Hey Tony..nice looking toon. We just bought our first toon this summer and got a few trips out on her. I know what you mean by crazy weather, we winterized ours mid Sept and now have to sit and wait till late april to get out.
