Hi Everyone
I wanted to create a space for you all to post images and descriptions of your pontoon boats. Please keep image sizes under 500KB, that should be big enough for most people. If you are having trouble posting your image shoot us a private message and we'll try to help out.
To post an image click the button that looks like it has a tree in the background with an arrow pointing up, it is to the right of the Font Size and font options buttons. Then simply click the browse button and find the image you want to upload and click okay. You'll be able to take an image off your computer and post it to this forum.
Please do not post your pictures under this forum heading as I would like to keep this thread available for questions or problems customers may have.

Hi Cpt Ron
Of course not, in fact it is better if you use a program like that since you have more freedom with image sizes, etc.
Thanks for asking though

When you clicked this icon it should open another window or tab (depending on what browser version you are using) and it is a gray page with an open dialog box and next to it is a Browse button - if you don't see it, you're going to have to tell us what browser and version you are using. But if you do see it, you'll find where your image(s) is located, select one, then click the OK button, it'll tell you to be patient or something to that effect, click OK again, it might take a second or two (depending on your connection), you'll see your image. If you're done, just click submit your post, otherwise use your right cursor key once, that takes you to the lower right corner of your pic. If your pics are small and you want to add another one just to the right of it, hit spacebar once or twice, repeat the upload process for another pic. If the pics are rather large (use preview), then instead of hitting the space bar, hit the return key, and either add text or another pic. If you do add text, be sure to hit the return key after they last word is entered before you post another pic, otherwise you'll end up with distorted text and pics not being lined up properly. Hope that helps.

This is what the popup box looks like in firefox when it first opens.

After it opens then I need to adjust the size by hovering the mouse over the lower right corner until an angled double arrow appears, then click and drag to stretch it out to look like this.

I believe if you are using Internet Explorer you won't need to do the adjusting size thing that is just with Firefox.

Some of you have been asking about what is the best size for posting. There are basically two sizes I use. For a large size pic for best viewing (one pic, then right cursor, hit return for another pic) it would be 640 pixels x 480 pixels but say I want two pics to be side by side with a little space between them, then it would be 448 pixels by 336 pixels (post one pic, right cursor, space bar, then upload the next one, if you want to add more pics or text after that, then do a right cursor and hit the return key, repeat the process). I prefer (and so would others) that you don't post pics smaller than that size as it hurts our eyes straining to see the details. My suggestion is to experiment with the sizing, because of the subject matter, the smaller size will do, while at times the bigger size closeup (as long as its crisp) will work. For camera settings, I prefer the fine image setting. While that gives you less pics per your storage device, when it comes to your boat and motor questions, its preferred (my opinion of course). Now while you're on the lake, then a normal view will probably do a very good job. Taking flash shots, be aware of flashback on reflective surfaces, take the shot at an angle to reduce the glare, etc. Same for dim light conditions, you can still take very good shots with flash at some distance. Practice makes perfect and take more than one shot of the same subject matter with different settings. Hope this helps some folks as I have a cheap digital camera, but it does the job. Oh and I take full size shots, as I use software (Microsoft Office Picture Manager which is in Office 2003 and 2007 software) to reduce the size for a specific purpose I need it for (web, email, etc)

I've just found that if you're using firefox as a browser resizing pictures couldn't be easier. Send them to desktop right click on file there scroll down to resize pictures and click. Opens up another window, select desired size click on OK and there will be another file with resized picture ready to upload when ready to post. If it's this simple for me it will be real easy for many of you.

An update for some of you that name your pics. Error messages you can get when you try to upload usually results from one of two things that prevents it. Either too large a picture (did you change camera's or camera settings) which means you need to resize it to 640x480 or you named the pics and you put a character in the naming it doesn't like for example an apostrophe.
