In St, Charles, MO but the boats going to Bull Shoals Lake in SW Missouri about an hour from Branson, when I finish building it. My sister has a gorgeous home on the lake and a covered slip that will be home for the boat.

John,

It's actually not too bad. About 250 miles one-way (4 1/2 hrs). Our routine is every other weekend plus long Holiday weekends then we're fortunate enough to have jobs where we can spend almost 3 weeks there in mid-July! With any luck in about 2 years we'll be calling it 'home'.

The houseboat capital of the world, Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky. What a great place to retire. Only moved here a year ago, but I know we are here to stay.

Norm & Dixie from Orange Park, FL just south of Jacksonville, home of the soon to be World Famous Jacksonville Jaguars. Retired USN aviation. Just got first and probably last toon last fall. Will be using it on the beautiful Black Creek, St. Johns River and hopefully numerous lakes all within 30 or 40 miles. Starting a renovation of my toon in a couple of weeks so she will be pretty and ready to go. Fun starts early in the year here in Florida.

My better half and I live in Pacific, MO, about 35 miles southwest of St. Louis. We have our boats on Indian Hills lake near Cuba, MO another 50 miles out Interstate 44. We can be on the water in about an hour after leaving home.

Waiting for Spring!

Joe

Hi all, just got a pontoon last July and just found this web site. In just a few days have learned a lot. Don't know all the terms yet but I'm catching on. Will be asking questions later.
Thanks for all the info. so far.

Harrisonville, Missouri, about 40 miles south of Kansas City.  We keep the boat on Truman Lake near Warsaw, MO during the Spring/Summer/Fall and in our barn  during the cold winter months!

I guess we have a pretty good situation, we are located in High Point, NC.  I live on HIgh Point Lake which is a city lake and you have to go to the main marina to put in, which I like.  There are  with in 1-1/2 hours or less 7 to 8 lakes, all very nice for boating and some very good fishing.  Since we had a dry spell this past summer we still had good boating to choose from.  If you look at a North Carolina map it shows nice state to boat in.  I took my boat to the beach, I.C.W

this past summer.  It took fours hours, that will be the last time, to long and gas has gone up.
