Remember, Commercial advertising in the forums is NOT permitted, either by posting or via any info in your signature or profile. Your account can be blocked, etc if you do not abide by the rules. If you work for a company and you post anything that references or even remotely promotes your company, your post will be deleted and you'll either be warned, account suspended for a period of time or the account could even be blocked permanently (especially if you blatantly disregard this notice). If you want advertising, you MUST contact the owners of www.PontoonStuff.com and they will decide if arrangements will be made via their main site - but NEVER in the forums unless they approve you as an Authorized PontoonStuff Vendor. The decisions we (forum administrators or moderators) make are not debatable. The owners of PontoonStuff.com will notify the forum administrators of any authorized and approved posts.

  I would first like to say this is in no way personal. I do believe somehow though this needs to be somehow made more clear. Is someone importing a link in a attempt to help another member always going to be under scrutiny or suspicion. What are the rules going to be on this so members are not left in this big gray void. Sorry for this but this I believe needs clarified.

How can I make this more clear? We have had people who own or represent other companies post links to their business/products or others they are trying to assist sell their products on this site which is advertising pure and simple. That's not allowed period, if they want to sell something, they contact the owners of this site and pay advertising fees if the owners want to promote it. That includes any references to something in the signature line, www link in their profile, etc.  For all others, we'd let you know if there was anything objectionable like we always have via PM. If PontoonStuff sells it, then generally we don't allow links to companies that sell the same or similar products (no free advertising in other words).

 Is or are members allowed to P.M. others links they believe would be helpful to them then. Or would this also be unacceptable or not.
