Here are a few pics of our annual catfishing trip to Lake St. John, Louisiana. We use yo-yo's aka autofishers to do most of the fishing. Since this was my first big trip I was ill prepared for that part. My rod holders arrived in the mail as I was leaving. My plan was to weld some washers to the ends of rebars and put in the rod holders. I was then going to have yo-yos hanging from my boat. I only was able to tie two to the boat and the only fish I caught was a gasper gou some joker came by and hung on it. Basically my toon was used as a 'base camp' and all the guys in jon boats ran the yo yos. We kept the minnows (shiners) on my boat in the live well and everyone would come to me and re-stock and get reports, etc. We lost count of how many we caught but with 5 boats it added up real quick. I posted another report on the christening of the boat and the camping on the show off your boat thread. We did catch some bream and catfish pole fishing off the boat but not too many.
