  1. Don't post your email address in a public forum unless you just love spam, it isn't necessary as VERIFIED members can see it in your profile if you allow it.
  2. Don't use your real name for a nym on any forum (unless its required). You can post that info in your profile if you wish, as only verified members can view your profile. Protect your account and your identify from outsiders who are up to no good.
  3. Don't post your phone number, remember this is a PUBLIC forum, have them contact you or you contant them via private messaging (PM) if you want them to know your contact/address info.
  4. Please don't ask administrators/moderators to call you to discuss your boat questions, we answer questions here as a hobby, and it benefits others who may have the same question but were afraid to ask.
  5. No question is a stupid question, unless you don't ask it, then that's just being stupid , we just call it you haven't experienced it yet. I can assure you, somebody has including me and our admins/moderators including many of our very active members . Just ask my dog, he'll tell you I've ranted a few times at myself for something stupid I've done  (yes - my dog talks to me, although very quietly - he doesn't bark, he just looks at me with very understanding eyes)
  6. Yes, we've probably heard your question being asked in different forms many times and sometimes knowing how to search the forums will help, but that doesn't mean we won't help you with your question. Check out each forum for what we call 'Sticky Topics' that message that has a little pin sticking in it. We've made them sticky for a reason
  7. Don't use profanity or anything even remotely considered bad/undesirable words to refer to your posterier or other bodily functions - it won't be tolerated - Our kids read what's here, you might say that in front of your kids, but don't do it here.
  8. Read all the forum rules, its for your benefit and for an orderly family oriented web site who welcomes anyone needing help with their boat. Be respective of others and their pride and joy (their boats).
  9. Respect our sponsors/owners of the forum by not advertising goods and services by name (linking is ok, just see how rickdb1 suggest doing it), however some links of competitors will not be allowed, but don't worry about that, we (admins/moderators) will take care of it. We don't want to be giving competitors free advertising on this site at the expense of our sponsors.
  10. Keep in mind, this isn't the retail site, if you have a problem with anything you order from PontoonStuff, give them the courtesy of calling them first and let them handle it, because we guarantee they WILL take care of it. Jim and Andrea Myers are the best people you'll ever want to meet as well as their staff.
  11. Remember that anything you get and your not satisfied with it - call them, and they'll make it right.

Happy boating!
