Well since I sold my pontoon, I have to fish off my other boat for now. (Looking for a new pontoon.) Went to Fourchon. Spent 2 days, they were having jellyfish problems. So fishing did not go well. Even the shrimp boats was having problems.  Caught one bull red, 5 spec and this. We did let him go. He was a little mad

Not far, I've fished right in the bays and caught one while wading. I can tell ya I sure didn't like being in the water with him - I wanted back on the boat BAD   - was fishing for red's and trout, NOT that thing with all them teeth

WE were right at the jetties. Just outside of the canal. Caught him on squid. I took the hook out with a pair on needle nose, it came out with great ease. I don't know how he did'nt get the hook out himself.

David,

I would have made sure those needle nose pilers were at least 2 foot long!

Weather was great, fishing was ok, no spec, 10 keeper reads. 1 extra large black drum. Took 1/2 hour to get him in the boat.  The red in the pic was 16in long, caught by my wife. The ice chest is a 90 quart.

Was caught at a place called burns point, in Louisiana. What great fun t was.

It's my opinion that the best shark repellant in the world is air conditioning.

Not near as big as your catches David but we took our 'new' Sea Ox out on the rigs from Grand Isle this weekend and caught these. Unfortunately due to tightened regs we had to throw all of them back. We did catch a few mangroves, sheepshead, trout and mackeral that we kept.

It is a small shark, 53' fork length. Caught him behind a shrimp boat and took close to 45 minutes to get in. Charles it did make us cry having to throw all those good eating fish back.
