I have been looking at 30-36 pontoon boats with a 'hut'.   It seems that only Suntracker offers a pontoon with semi cabin, ie. Party Hut 30 or Mega Hut 36.

Does any other manufacturer offer anything similar?

Looking at the new 2007 Suntracker catalog I keep finding errors and misprints...

Their info shows the 30' Party Hut 8.5' wide  weighs 3240 lbs and the 36 Mega Hut weighs the same 10' wide    Go figure

They say the Party Hut 30 is available with DuraDeck aluminum decking.  Not true, any pontoon over 27 ft is not avalible with aluminum decking.  This must be some bean counter decision.   I don't want a rotten wood deck in the future.

The catalog shows the upper deck with 24' high railing; the boats they deliver actually have a 7.5' high surround - looked at newly delivered 30' party hut at the Albuquerque dealer this past Saturday.   The salesman said they ordered it with aluminum decking - well guess what, we looked,  bare plywood underside!

You call their headquarters and you cannot get a straight answer - 'thats what the catalog shows....'  Ordering a new Suntracker seems dicy...!!!   Burt

the new marine grade treated plywood will last for ever or close enough. most new boats come with a lifetime warranty on the wood decking. there are some other postings that talk about why/how the companies can warranty the decking parts and labor for life. you can get the boat you want at that company that only makes custom pontoon boat kits. they put it together or you. custompontoonkitsetc.com

I still wonder about this lifetime plywood.  Are those warranties for the original owner only?  If so, then the company really only has to worry about however long people keep their boats before upgrading or getting out of boating.

myself when i buy something im only concerned about how long the warranty will last for me. if i go to sell it used then the buyer knows they are buying a used boat and will get it at a used price. as far as the plywood goes it will outlast most peoples lifetimes and by the time it would be ready for replacing the rest of the boat will probably be ready for its second or third replacement...ie furniture, carpet, paint, etc. its all just my opinion but i thought id say it anyhow.
