Should You Restore A Pontoon Boat Or Buy A New Pontoon?

We get this question a lot and wanted to make a point in answering it truthfully.  The quick answer is YES.  Pontoon boats are basically two tubes with an aluminum frame, wood deck, some aluminum railing and an outboard motor.  So long as your tubes, railing and engine are in decent shape you can rebuild the pontoon boat you already own for a reasonable price.  If you own a used pontoon that needs to be fixed up you can spend between $1K to $3K upgrading it to New Boat status or spend less and simply put a few new seats on the pontoon or replace the pontoon carpet. You do not need to rebuild the pontoon yourself, hire the neighbor kid to tear the deck off or have a local upholstery shop put the boat back together, we will ship your new pontoon seats and supplies anywhere you would like so do not hesitate to employ a local handy man.
