Pontoon Deck Seam Tape
(50' roll) Seals the underside of your decking where two sheets meet.
Cut into 8' sections and place on top of the aluminum cross channels where your two pieces of decking meet. If you do not seal the underside of your deck seams water will work it's way up onto your deck and ruin the bond between carpet and glue.
- Prevents water from working its way between the joints on your floor and ruining your carpet.
- Seals the joints on your pontoon flooring where two sheets of plywood join together.
- 50' roll is enough for any pontoon boat.
Questions & AnswersAsk a Question
Can this deck seam tape be used as a double-stick tape to securely replace the vinyl rub rail around the outside of the pontoon deck?
Our seam tape is far to thick to work well for that application. It's basically tar tape so it works great on the seams of the boat but it's going to make a big mess on your rub rail and will be plyable so it's not a good option.
If I am using this at the deck seams, when I screw down the deck to the non-seam supports, wouldn't the deck not be level since the tape is only under the seams and not under the deck at the non-seam supports?
This will not create a noticable affect on your pontoon deck. The deck seam tape will compresse when the deck is laid down and secured. Some customer will order an extra roll of deck seam tape to do all cross members of their pontoon boat but this is not required.
This Pontoon Deck Seam Tape is 2" Wide. It also come sin a 50 foot roll.
